We believe the best food starts with fresh ingredients, simply cooked. Our menus are created to make the best of produce which is in season.
Sourcing locally plays a big role in freshness and quality control and we use English and West Country produce wherever possible. We feature fish landed at Brixham and Looe, West Country beef which has been hung for 21 days and pork from just up the road. Buying organic whenever possible, we are also committed to supporting farmers who practice good husbandry.
As well as the main menu there is a blackboard which features special dishes our chef has created from more expensive cuts or rarer seasonal ingredients he has found.
Families with children are especially welcome at The Diggers Rest.
We offer 'Moderates' of some of our Main Dishes and a Children's Menu.
